Lately Get the app

Delete your data

Last updated September 29, 2026. Lately is in beta; this page will be updated before launch.

Delete an album you made

In the Lately app, open the album and tap Close album. The album link stops working right away, and every shared photo and video in it, including ones guests added, is deleted from Lately’s server within 24 hours.

Albums with an expiry date are deleted the same way when they expire.

Delete single photos

In the Lately app, open the album, then press and hold any photo and choose Remove. It is deleted from the server within 24 hours. This works for photos guests added too.

If you can’t use the app

If you’ve uninstalled Lately, changed phones, or are a guest who wants a photo of you removed, email [email protected] with the album code or link (for example latelyphotos.com/a/C05VC9R2) and say which photos, or the whole album. I’ll confirm and delete them within 7 days.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleting removes the photos and videos, their thumbnails, the album title, guest names and the album’s settings. Server request logs, which hold IP addresses, are kept for up to 30 days for security and then deleted automatically. Lately has no accounts, so there is no other profile data to delete. Your originals on your own phone are never touched.
