What Lately reads on your phone
Lately asks for access to your photo library when you make an album. It reads the photos and videos taken inside the time window you chose, and nothing else. It does not scan or index your library.
If you turn on Auto-share for an album, Lately uploads the camera photos and videos you take from that moment until Auto-share ends. It never uploads anything you shot before you switched it on, and never screenshots. Auto-share stops when you turn it off, when its end time passes, or when the album closes.
What is uploaded
The items you put in an album are uploaded to Lately’s server so the people you share it with can view and save them. Each album is reachable only by its code and link, and by its password if you set one. Albums are not listed or published anywhere, and the photos are used for nothing except showing them to the people you share with.
What guests share
Guests who open an album do not create an account. If they add photos, they give a first name, which is shown next to their photos. Requests are logged with their IP address for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Deleting
Closing an album, or letting its link expire, deletes its shared copies from the server within 24 hours. The owner can also remove any single photo, including ones guests added. Your originals stay on your phone.
Analytics on this website
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the page people read. Album pages that guests open from a code are not tracked, and the app itself has no analytics or advertising code.
